Asia Classification Society (ACS) is currently recruiting a Research Engineer to join its office in Tehran within the Training and Research Division. The candidate will refer to the “Marine Statutory Regulations” Unit and will have strong knowledge of IMO Conventions and Codes
We are looking for a person with a Doctorate/Master’s degree in Naval Architecture who has at least 2 years of experience in the scientific or technological field and has previous experience in research and technical documents review
Advanced knowledge of the English Language and a technical background in the shipbuilding industry is a must to have. The previous experience in National and regional R&D projects is considered an asset, in particular for topics dealing with sectors regarded as a high priority for the Area where the candidate will operate, such as classification societies’ rules and regulations, IMO Conventions and Codes, and IACS URs and PRs, ISO Technical Committees’ standards, and other national and international regulations
